1. Introduction
Welcome to https://spanish-boutique.com. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of this website and the online Spanish tutoring services provided by Spanish Boutique ("we", "our", "us"). By creating an account, subscribing or booking a class, you agree to these Terms.
2. Services Provided
We offer online Spanish lessons for adults (aged 18 and over). Lessons are held live on Google Meet. You are responsible for having a stable internet connection, a working webcam and a microphone before your lesson.
3. Subscriptions and Payments
- Subscription: classes are sold as a subscription billed every four weeks. Each payment adds the number of classes you chose to your class credits. You can also buy extra classes at any time.
- Payment processing: all payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
- Unused classes: unused class credits carry over from one billing period to the next for as long as your subscription is active.
- Ending your subscription: you can cancel at any time from your billing page. Your subscription runs until the end of the period you have paid for. When it ends, any classes booked after that date are released, and unused class credits expire.
4. Bookings and Cancellations
- Booking: classes are booked through the booking system on this website, at least 24 hours in advance. Each class uses one class credit.
- Cancelling: if you cancel a class at least 24 hours before it starts, the credit is returned to you.
- Late cancellations and missed classes: if you cancel with less than 24 hours' notice, or do not join within the first 15 minutes of the scheduled start time, the class counts as taken and the credit is not returned.
- Cancellations by your tutor: if we have to cancel a class, the credit is always returned to you, so you can book another time at no extra cost.
5. Your Right to Cancel
If you are a consumer in the UK, you have the right to cancel your subscription within 14 days of your first payment, and each purchase of extra classes within 14 days of buying them, without giving a reason, by writing to us at contact@spanish-boutique.com. If you ask for classes to start within those 14 days and then cancel, only the classes you have not used are refunded: classes you have already taken, including late cancellations and missed classes, are not.
6. Code of Conduct
As these sessions are for adults, we expect respectful communication at all times. We may end a live session and refuse future services, without a refund, if a student behaves in a way that is abusive, offensive, inappropriate or disruptive.
7. Intellectual Property
All learning materials, worksheets and notes provided during your classes are protected by copyright. They are for your personal, non-commercial use only and must not be redistributed, sold or shared publicly without our written consent.
8. Limitation of Liability
Language learning varies from person to person, and we do not guarantee specific results, exam performance or fluency levels. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from our tutoring services is limited to the amount you paid for the class concerned. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed, and continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
